Import Duties & Taxes
United States (DDP Shipping):
Duties and taxes for United States orders are included at checkout and shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid basis. Solsea Swim pays your import duties and taxes on your behalf at the time of shipment. This ensures your Solsea Swim order will clear customs with no unexpected fees on delivery.
These charges are included in your order total and are non-refundable in the event of a return, as they are paid directly to customs authorities.
If you return an item, duties and taxes cannot be recovered and will not be refunded.
United Kingdom:
Duties and taxes for the United Kingdom orders are included at checkout and shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid basis for orders under £135 . Solsea Swim pays your import duties and taxes on your behalf at the time of shipment. For all orders over £135, any duties and taxes are paid at point of import (customs).
These charges are included in your order total and are non-refundable in the event of a return, as they are paid directly to customs authorities.
If you return an item, duties and taxes cannot be recovered and will not be refunded.
Rest of World:
All purchases travelling outside of New Zealand, Solsea Swim is not liable for any additional duties or customs charges that may occur during transit and/or on delivery. Charges vary from country to country and Solsea Swim has no control over these and cannot foresee what these charges might be. If you decide to refuse your purchase due to the cost of taxes/duties, this amount will be deducted from your purchase upon arrival back to Solsea Swim. Any return shipping costs incurred will also be deducted.
How to Lodge a Return
To request a return, simply:
- Log in to your customer account using your email login
- Select the order and item(s) you wish to return
- Submit your return request
Once your request has been reviewed, you’ll receive an email with return instructions.
Returns
We offer returns for full refund or store credit (excluding shipping costs) on all full-priced items, including swimwear. To be eligible for a return, your order must meet the following criteria:
- Return must be initiated within 21 days of receiving your order
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
- All items must have original tags attached
- Sanitary liners must remain intact on all swimwear
For hygiene reasons, any items returned that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted.
Please note:
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exchanges (New Zealand Only)
We offer exchanges for New Zealand customers.
If you would like to exchange your item for a different size or style, please submit a return request within 21 days of receiving your order.
Once your return is approved and received, we will process your exchange (subject to stock availability). If your requested item is unavailable, a store credit or refund will be issued.
International Orders
We do not offer exchanges on international orders. If you would like a different size or style, please return your item for a refund and place a new order.
Sale Items
All sale and promotional items are final sale.
We do not accept returns or exchanges on any sale items.

Processing Your Return
Once your return is received and inspected, it will be processed within 1–3 business days.
If approved, your refund will be issued back to your original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.
